Coffeeneuring 2021: 2

My Numero Uno Ride Buddy was in town, and there was a window before the Atmospheric River descended on Northern California, so we got out for a Conchaneuring, er… Coffeeneuring ride, YAY! First to the Tia Maria bakery, where Eric’s rain jacket matched with the color scheme, and we enjoyed concha breakfast sandwiches of awesome. I tried the pumpkin one, which was a yummy spice mix flavor (don’t think too much about what makes it so intensely orange) and Eric had chocolate. The other choice was vanilla (the white or pink). Hard to go wrong, but I’m glad I had the pumpkin, as it was really tasty, and it’s only seasonally available. To breakfast sandwichify them, the conchas are filled with scrambled egg, bacon and cheese, then grilled. (I see you drooling on your keyboard.) So. Good. The perfect companion to make this a Coffeneuring ride was a Mexican chocolate mocha with extra whipped cream. (OK, now I’m drooling on my keyboard.) Totally hit the spot.

We then went by and looked at a tandem for sale, which was quite nice but too big for me in the front – we want for either of us to ride either position. Sad trombone. The fellow selling it had quite the stable, so we had a bit of bike chat, then, since we were out, continued on and rode around Spring Lake. Which was a little busy with walkers, but it was good to be out.

Coffeeneuring 2021: 1

Here it is, Coffeeneuring Season again! How did that happen?! One thing and another I haven’t been riding much, and I haven’t written up anything that I have done, but there’s something about Coffeeneuring. Hmn, maybe I can figure out what that is and apply it to other things…

Anyhoo, with some rain in the forecast for later this week – I don’t want to jinx it, since we SO need it, but looks like some forreals rain could happen WOOHOO – not that it will get us out of the drought, but it’s something – I thought I’d get a jump on things. And it was kinda cool to do a ride on opening day, which I don’t think I’ve done before.

The ride was a bit of after work toodle around between work and the train station, which – hahaha – actually overlapped a bit with the last ride of last season – how fun is that? (Which, I noticed the “one good thing” theme that last year’s season had, which I quite enjoyed – both having a theme, and the theme itself – so decided to come up with another theme for this year’s season … “brought to you by the letter C” – something (besides coffee) on the ride that starts with the letter C!) Bike path along Corte Madera Creek, some poofy clouds in the sky, everything fresh smelling from yesterday’s rain, views of Mt. Tam and the bay, bluemug and yellowbike. Good times.
